Underwriting Guidelines

In accordance with Federal Communications Commission regulations, LPFM stations cannot run advertising announcements for commercial businesses.  We can, however, run "enhanced underwriting announcements" thanking the business for their donation to the station.  These short announcements can mention the name and address of the business, brief, general list of goods and services sold/provided; hours of operation and contact information. We cannot mention sales, prices, specials, any qualifying language about a good or service or any call to action.  Since we are a 501 (c)(3), not-for-profit organization, donations to the station are tax deductible as permitted by law.
